ON April 4, John left his semi-detached home in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, at 6.30am. He returned at about 1pm to find that it has been broken into. He lost RM45,000 and was badly traumatised, not so much by the loss but by the invasion into his private domain.

Since implementation of the Gated & Guarded (G&G) scheme on 16th August 2009 – 31st August 2009, there has been no cases of crime in the areas of Rahim Kajai, Lengkok Aminuddin Baki, and Lorong Aminuddin Baki 4. JiranTTDI

The trouble is that most residents who complain are those who refuse to join the scheme for reasons best known to themselves.
Many such residents do not even mix with the neighbours and refuse to become members of the residents’ association.
Such people like to ride on the charity of others.
Security comes at a price and inconvenience.
